Jumping back in....

Life sometimes gets in the way of the extra things we’d like to do....truth is, it just becomes really busy when raising a family. I've let my Blog go stagnant for about 3 years now.  But today while visiting a FB page "Rabbits in colonies" I was asked about my colony and a page to go to see more information....It reminded me to go check my Blog, really just to read for myself.... and there it was, just as I left it!  So I read, and read some more, and was moved by the memories that came flooding back...Things I had forgotten about.  Bittersweet.....as so many changes have happened in such a short time since then. I originally started this Blog to share my Garden with friends and family...but what I realized today is, that my Garden and Home life are memoralized in this Blog too.  As we count down the time we will spend here in Central Florida, it dawned on me, this page is more than just information and pictures. It will remain here, leaving a place to revisit...a place my Children can always go, to  “go home" and remember the years they grew up here. My Pictures, my passions, my stories, and their very own memories of what these things meant to them in the course of their life... Central Florida is exploding in growth, and though it’s been my home all my life, we have decided to relocate when Dave leaves the fire department...Our plan is for 5 more years here, then off to South Carolina or the Panhandle.....God hasn't revealed the exacts quite yet. We are watching and waiting.

I have decided to pick up where we left off....Back to recording our lil homestead and  share the acquired information I experience and learn along the way. We have many projects going on here at the moment, especially within the house.

This Months project: New DIY vinyl plank flooring, our first big in house project... replacing carpet. Our knees are killing us...I have a new respect for the flooring trade🙂

We love them!  We purchased from Lumber Liquidators... the floor is Urban Loft ash.  What a nice change for our home! It’s tedious work, but totally doable as a DIY project. Just need a little patience.

Thought I do a quick share of pictures, since Spring has sprung in the garden.....Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow is in full bloom and smells wonderful!

The Mulberry Bush is bursting with fruit!

The Arbor is putting on a great show of Fortuniana Roses....this is the root stock that is used for Florida Roses... Beautifil in March

Baby Bunnies have left their nesting holes! Such a sweet sight in the Rabbit Colony.

In the New Rabbit Colony the Rabbits and Cockatiels co-habitat... much more room for both. They seem very happy.

The Azaleas are in Full Bloom... it’s one of my favorite times of the year....

The Fairy Garden needs a little love....I think we will revisit here soon....at the moment.. Bryophyllum daigremontianum, also known as Mother of Many, or Alligator plant is the perfect fit, with its dainty Fairy flowers...

That’s a quick walk through the garden....Hope you enjoyed the view.  Please check back soon....I hope to have some new projects ready to go!  So I will press on! I hope you get out there and sow some seed too!

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus”. Philippians 3:11-14
